1. WELCOME, INTRODUCTION, and ROLL CALL.
2. ACTION ITEM: Reading and Approval of the Agenda.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT: Items not on today’s agenda, but within the jurisdiction of the MDC. Each speaker is limited to three minutes.
4. INFORMATION ITEM: Report from the Chair.
5. INFORMATION ITEM: Introduction of newly appointed members to the Mayor’s Disability Council, Derek Zarda and Star Lara.
6. INFORMATION ITEM: Report from the Director of the Mayor’s Office on Disability
7. ACTION ITEM: Co-Chair Election. In accordance with the Mayor’s Disability Council bylaws Article III Section 1, there shall be two Co-Chairs elected to serve as officers of the Council and elections will be staggered by at least three months. The present election will be to fill the vacancy due to Co-Chair James’ resignation.
8. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ITEM: Mayor’s Disability Council bylaw amendments: Discussion about consideration of bylaw amendments that will
increase the efficiency of the MDC’s work and encourage consistent member participation. Some potential changes include amendments to Article II, Section 4 of the MDC’s bylaws making attendance at executive committee meetings mandatory; establishing attendance standards; and ability to attend Council proceedings via conference phone or Bridge Line.
9. INFORMATION ITEM: Elections Accessibility. The Department of Elections will explain how it is training staff, providing voting information, and making voting accessible for voters with disabilities in preparation for the November 5 Municipal Election. Presentation by Jill Fox, Outreach Manager, San Francisco Department of Elections.

10. INFORMATION ITEM: Affordable Care Act: Information about pre-registration, eligibility, and how to get disability accommodations for the process. Presentation by Angela Shing, Affordable Care Act Lead, San Francisco Human Services Agency.

DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ITEM: The Council will discuss the possible adoption of a resolution regarding guiding principles and overall recommendations for the construction, maintenance and financing strategies for permanently affordable and accessible housing for seniors and people with disabilities.

12. INFORMATION ITEM: Better Market Street: Pedestrian Realm Focus Group and Workshop. Review of preliminary report and findings regarding sidewalk paving conditions and design parameters. Presentation by Simon Bertrang, Project Manager for Better Market Street and Peter Mendoza, Facilitator with the Independent Living Resource Center San Francisco.

Accessible Meeting Information
City Hall is accessible to persons using wheelchairs and other assistive mobility devices. Wheelchair access is provided at the Grove, Van Ness and McAllister streets via ramps. Wheelchair access at the Polk Street/ Carlton B. Goodlett entrance is provided through a wheelchair lift.
