HEALTH, HOUSING & PUBLIC SAFETY ADVISORY COMMITTEE
SOUTHEAST COMMUNITY FACILITY COMMISSION

Requests for public comment may also be heard after Commission discussion of an agenda item by completing an information card and submitting it to the Commission Secretary.  Requests are given “first come first serve” priority and speakers may be limited to three minutes.

 

AGENDA

 

1)    Call to Order

 

2)    Roll Call

 

3)    Announcement:  The Sunshine Ordinance prohibits the use of electronic sound-producing devices at/during public meetings.  Please be advised that the meeting chair may remove any person (s) responsible for the ringing or use of cell phones, pagers and similar sound-producing electronic devices from the meeting room.

 

4)    Consent Calendar:  All matters listed hereunder constitute a Consent Agenda, are considered routine by the SECFC Health & Housing Advisory Committee and will be acted upon by a single vote of the Committee.  There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Committee or a member of the public so requests before or at the meeting when the consent Agenda is called, in which event the matter shall be removed from the consent Agenda and considered as a separate item.

 

5)    Proposed Action: Be it resolved that the minutes of the scheduled Committee meeting of Thursday, August 13, 2012, be approved as submitted.

 

6)    Public Comment is Limited to 3 Minutes:  Members of the public may address the Committee on matters under the jurisdiction of the Committee that is not on today’s agenda.

The goal of the Health and Housing Committee is to advocate, promote, and increase the awareness of health problems, i.e. obesity and diabetes, prostate, cervical and breast cancer, asthma, environmental hazards, etc. affecting Bayview Hunters Point residents.

 

7)    Planning for the SECFC Annual Health Fair to be held Saturday, October 13th from 10:00 am 2:00 pm to be held on site, 1800 Oakdale Ave. (Discussion and possible action)

 
a. Update from staff of progress in preparation for fair.
b. Review and finalize Sub- Committees goals:
Floor plan A & B by 10/03/12
Proposed draft program 09/27/12
c. Final list of honorees before close of meeting.
d. Second print of Health Fair flyer, poster, and pre-event media.
e. Procurement of supplies, food, drink, & condiments.

 

8)    Discussion
Tasks to be accomplished and materials/documents to have drafted for next meeting

 

9)    Action Plans & Recommendation to the full SECF Commission

 

10)    New Business Requests for Future Agenda Items. (Discussion)
