Action Item: the Committee approved the minutes of the May 2, 2007 meeting.
III. PROPOSED LEGISLATION
Action items: the Committee took the following positions on the state legislation affecting the City andCounty of San Francisco:
A. AB 466 (Hancock): to allow high school students to work as poll workers on election day without it counting against their Average Daily Attendance at school.

B. SB 2 (Cedillo): to require city general plans to include plans for homeless shelters.
Position taken: Support
C. AB 508 (Swanson): to allow felons to receive food stamps.
Position taken: Support
D. AB 888 (Lieu): to support statewide green building standards.
Position taken: tabled at the request of Dept. of Environment because the bill is undergoing significant amendment.
