Sally Coghlan McDonald, a native San Franciscan was appointed to the Mayor’s Disability Council by Mayor Edwin Lee in 2017. She is an attorney who has been involved in the disability world for over 20 years since she became a parent of a child with severe disabilities and medical issues. Her work includes advocacy for children and young adults with disabilities and their families. She has served on the Boards of Directors of several non-profits serving the disabled including Support for Families of Children with Disabilities, Blind Babies Foundation and Miss Unlimited Foundation. In addition, Sally has been a member of the Family Advisory Council at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital since its inception.
