MISSION STATEMENT OF SOUTHEAST COMMUNITY FACILITY COMMISSION
To advocate and encourage the promotion of special services for the improvement of entrepreneurial business opportunity, health, safety, welfare of residents in the Southeast Sector of the City and to promote diversity and the health, safety as well as professional development of its employees.

Health, Housing and Public Safety Advisory Committee, Chair, LaVaughn King, Commission Member, Janine Greer
Goal: To advocate and increase awareness of health problems affecting the Bayview Hunters Point residents. Sponsor an annual Health Fair educating the community about nutrition, fitness, prevention & treatment of chronic health conditions and promote a lifestyle encouraging community families to build healthy bodies and minds.

Economic Development Advisory Committee, Chair Eddy Zheng, Commission Member, Al Norman
Goal: To advocate and encourage entrepreneurial business opportunity in the Southeast Sector. Sponsor an annual Job/Career Fair to connect public and private sector employers with the Southeast Community. Provide non-perishable food donations for local community based organizations to serve needy Southeast Community residents during the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays.

Goal: Develop an action plan to outline the next steps to carry out the Memorandum of Understanding regarding the use of the facility and establish tenant rents at market rates and process for administering the tenant agreements as well as receiving allocation of San Mateo & Presidio collection fees for the Southeast Community.

Meetings and Disability Access
The Southeast Community Facility Commission meetings are held twice monthly as follows: 2nd (second) Wednesday and 4th (fourth) Wednesday of each month (unless otherwise posted at least 72 hours prior to meeting date). Meetings are held in the evenings (6 p.m.) at 1800 Oakdale Avenue, Alex L. Pitcher, Jr. Community Room (this room is often used by government agencies and officials when scheduling town meetings). All meetings are open to the public and welcome comments from community members.
This SPECIAL Meeting is being held at UCSF – Mission Bay. 550 16th Street, Mission Hall – Room 2100, San Francisco, CA 94143.
Public transit
The UCSF Mission Bay campus is served by the Muni T-Third Street line, which stops at the UCSF Mission Bay Station located on Third Street near 16th Street. This applies for both north- and southbound travel — that is, going downtown or out to San Francisco's southeast neighborhoods.

The UCSF – Mission Bay Campus is a “SMOKE-FREE” environment; whereas smoking is prohibited inside the building. Accessible integrated seating is available for persons with disabilities (including those using wheelchairs). Individuals with other disabilities can also be accommodated, provided advance notice is given by contacting the office of the Southeast Community Facility Commission at (415) 821-1534.

2. Sound enhancement system with at least one-week notice prior to meeting.
3. Minutes of meeting in large print, tape form, and/or readers upon request.

In order to assist the City’s efforts to accommodate such people, attendees at public meetings are reminded that other attendees may be sensitive to various chemical-based products.
