1.0               Call to Order
Commission President Bobbrie Brown called the Wednesday, November 30, 2005 meeting to order at 6:12 p.m. in the Alex L. Pitcher Community Room at 1800 Oakdale Avenue.

Commissioner Brown read the Sunshine Ordinance aloud.
 

             1.2            Roll Call

Commissioners Present: Brown; Fuentes; Parker; Person

Excused Commissioners: Jones, Kennedy, and Sampson

Staff Present: Toye Moses, Executive Director; Annette Price, SECF Comm.-Sect

 

             1.3                    Consent Calendar

(a)           RESOLUTION (SECFC-2005-44) Be it resolved that the minutes of the Southeast Community Facility Commission meetings of Thursday, November 10, 2005 be approved as submitted.

2.0               Public Comment
There was no public comment at this time.
 

3.0               Communications:
Director Moses reported: Included in Commission folders are several letters and correspondence that were sent and/or received. Dir. Moses asked for direction with regard to receipt of Commission correspondence. President Brown instructed that Commissioners be called to determine whether mail should be reviewed by staff or forwarded. Dir. Moses also reminded that an e-mail from the new captain of the Bayview Police station, Albert Pardini had been included in Commission folders.

4.0               Presentations:
Due to a conflict in schedules, Mr. Gary McIntyre of BVHP Lennar has rescheduled his presentation date for Thursday, February 9, 2006. 

5.0               Director’s Report:
Dir. Moses reminded that a Facility Committee meeting will be calendared to address the childcare issues at 100 Whitney Young Circle once staff is given a date.

6.0               Introduction of New Business By Commissioners:
There was no introduction of new business by Commissioners.

7.0               Public Comment:
There was no public comment at this time.

8.0               Announcements:
Dir. Moses announced that Mayor Newsom and Supv. Maxwell will hold a town hall meeting at the Bayview Opera House on Thursday, December 8 to address the issue of violence in the Bayview district, which coincides with the SECF Commission meeting. He suggested immediately after the SECFC meeting adjourns that the Commission attend the town hall meeting to show their support.

Commissioner Person announced that December 1st is World Aids Day across the world and invited the Commission to attend either the Oakland or Alameda ceremonies. Commissioner Brown also reminded the Commission that Mayor Newsom has sent invitations to the Commission to attend his December 7th reception.

9.0               Adjournment
Comm. Brown adjourned the SECF Commission meeting at 6:30 p.m.
