- Stabilize the demographics of key communities while also addressing the impacts of growth on existing residents and businesses. Examples of this work include the Mission Action Plan and Sustainable Chinatown.

- Work with regional partners to address affordable housing, transportation, open space, and resiliency.
- Address climate change and resulting sea level rise through partnering with City and regional partners, including the Mayor’s Office, Port of San Francisco, and San Francisco Department of Environment.
- Incorporate environmental sustainability into our plans and projects to restore and integrate natural systems into the urban environment.
