MOCI’s comprehensive approach to community investment, community development, and violence prevention is reflected in the breadth and scope of the program areas in which it provides funding (grants and loans). The following is a description of each of the program areas in which MOCI administers resources for the benefit of low- and moderate-income families, individuals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. The program areas range from grants for entrepreneurship training and support, community social services, housing, organizational capacity building, planning, physical infrastructure support, small business technical assistance, and loans for business development.
