The Mayor's Office of Public Policy and Finance prepares and submits a balanced City budget in June of each year. Other functions of the Office of Public Policy and Finance include:

• Participating in the development and monitoring of the Mayor's policy initiatives;

• Providing the public with information about complex financial issues and information about government operations;

• Participating in the development and monitoring of performance measurement tools and government efficiency; and

• Progressing various legislative issues.
