Mayor Lee’s Statement on The Passing of Cameron Beach
Mayor Edwin M. Lee today issued the following statement on the passing of Cameron Beach:
“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Cameron Beach, who served on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency for the last four years. With a dedicated 44-year career in transportation including the Sacramento Regional Transit District and lending his experience managing local, suburban and intercity bus services as well as light rail and heritage streetcar operations, Cameron firmly believed in our City’s Transit First Policy and made our transit system work for pedestrians, bicyclists, drivers, and transit riders. His family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers today as we mourn the loss of a true San Franciscan.”
