Mayor Lee’s Statement on Federal Bill to Facilitate Hosting 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco
Mayor Edwin M. Lee today issued the following statement on urging the U.S. House of Representatives to pass Senate Bill 1759 related to hosting the 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco:
“I applaud the tremendous leadership of Senators Feinstein and Boxer on the passage of Senate Bill 1759 to facilitate the hosting of the 34th America’s Cup by authorizing certain eligible vessels to participate in activities related to the world wide competitive event. I urge the leadership of the House to take up and pass this bill that will help create jobs and boost our local economy.”
