Mayor Edwin Lee’s Statement On Saint Patrick’s Day
Mayor Edwin M. Lee today issued the following statement for March 17th Saint Patrick’s Day:
“I send my warmest wishes to the Irish American community in our City and throughout the Bay Area for a happy and healthy Saint Patrick’s Day. Today, we honor and celebrate the Irish American contributions to our City’s legacy as a unique and dynamic place to live, work and visit. Saint Patrick’s Day, the official National Day of Ireland, is an ideal time to reaffirm the strong bonds that link our City with the people of Ireland as we celebrate the rich heritage of the Irish American population. The Irish American community whose members have made lasting contributions to San Francisco and have enriched every aspect of our City’s life – in the arts, sciences, business and government – continue to contribute greatly to our diverse and multicultural City.”
