Contractor will provide, install and implement a Ground Based Radar Water Perimeter Intrusion Detection System  (PIDS) San Francisco International Airport (SFO).  The radar units must be integrated with at least one thermal/infrared camera per radar unit and have the ability to integrate to additional perimeter Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) and/or fixed cameras.  The objective of the PIDS is detection, tracking, assessment and reporting (alerting and alarming) of potential or actual intrusions into the waterside perimeter in a proactive manner to enhance the Airport’s security and the efficient deployment of security personnel.

The consultant will provide specialized engineering and quality control services for the implementation and completion of the New Light Rail Vehicle Procurement (LRV4) Program on an as-needed basis.  The specialized engineering services include, and are not limited to, vehicle procurement, vehicle design analysis, vehicle engineering calculations, reliability safety, maintainability and mean distance between failure, quality control inspection, vehicle acceptance and testing and warranty administration.  This specialized expertise is not available within the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) (i.e., rail vehicle structural engineering and Certified Weld Inspection (CWI) services) or to provide additional support if there are inadequate resources within the SFMTA during unusually high service needs.

COMMISSIONERS’ ANNOUNCEMENTS/REQUESTS  (Item No. 13)

 

 

 

 

 

President Chan remarked on correspondence received in regards to a 2992 Examination and the security discussion pending before the Commission.  The Executive Officer informed the Commissioners that an inspection service was being performed in regards to the complaint.  Independent of the specific exam issue, the Department of Human Resources may be addressing some of President Chan’s security concerns with an upcoming report which may involve “de-identification” as a means to begin unbiased hiring.
