The San Francisco Sheriff's Department is responsible for the security of City Hall including, all building tenants and visitors. If you feel unsafe, see a suspicious person, have a medical emergency, see someone having medical issues, or for any reason feel you may need Security assistance, call the Sheriff's Control Room immediately which is located on the Ground Floor of City Hall at 554-7251.

The City Hall Employee Safety Handbook is designed to give employees accurate and crucial emergency response information in a quick and easy format. City Hall Building Management has created the Handbook with assistance from professional agencies dedicated to safety and emergency response including the Department of Emergency Management, the Mayor's Disability Council, the San Francisco Sheriff's Department, the San Francisco Police Department, San Francisco Fire Department and the United States Postal Service.
