Introduction of myself and how I came to be Chair.
Welcome to four Commissioners for this next term.
Announcements of current affairs for animals and latest animal law progress state and nationwide.
Statement regarding goals and policies of the Commission and how it should be run. Also, an update on the progress of how we have been approaching the Board of Supervisors.
Mentioning to the other Commissioners the pending/open/abandoned subjects of drafting literature for the Animals in Domestic Violence project and the Professional Dog Licensing issue.
5. Committee Reports/Commissioner’s Reports
A. Commissioner Garcia; Guideline Policies for Public Speech.

- Commissioner Garcia will discuss her ideas on policy guidelines for free speech at the meetings. A copy of the policy is presented. Garcia is interested in feedback for vote at next month if people are interested. This item is being raised for the first time and would like to get an idea of how favorable the commission is on this item.

Garcia will discuss the item and the discussions with City Attorney, District Attorney and Supervisor Peskin and Move the Policy for an Approval vote as a Policy/Resolution for the Board of Supervisors to Approve. Again, this is a policy and not an ordinance.

Geary will discuss the item and the discussions with Supervisor Peskin and Move the Policy for an Approval vote as a Policy/Resolution for the Board of Supervisors to Approve.
B. Commissioner Garcia; Budget Approval Request.

- Commissioner Garcia will seek to approve having the Commissions budget be used for the following reasons:
1. Buy placards with the following Commissioners Names: Christine Garcia, Philip Geary, Andrea Brooks, Pam Hemphill, Sally Stevens.

The Commission should elect a new Chair, Secretary and possibly a new Vice-Chair if the current Vice-Chair is elected as Chair.

- Commissioners may provide a brief description of item(s) they request be on next month’s agenda. Discussion and comprehensive narrative of new calendar submissions will take place during the next meeting. Commissioners need to follow-up on their calendar item submissions via email to the Chair at least one week in advance of the next monthly meeting.
