A. Discussion concerning shortening draft of Commission informational

A. Discussion concerning additional humane treatment concerns arising
from live animal markets: People who slaughter live animals for food
at home. [Chairperson Eckman][Discussion/Action Item]
B. Discussion concerning whether the Commission should include the
practice of "debarking" along with "declawing" as
subject matter the Commission is concerned about. [Commissioner Breslin][Discussion/Action
Item].
C. Discussion concerning possible conflict between the California Education
Code, the State Board of Education mandate for humane education and
treatment of animals; and the Grand National Rodeo inviting Bay Area
school children k-8 to the Cow Palace on October 24, 2002, for a school
