          a. 3(a) Forming a sub-committee to promulgate rules and protocol consistent with the jurisdiction of The Commission.

        a. Status of proposed letter to Board of Supervisors urging implementation of new state laws on live animal markets in the City and County of San Francisco.

        b. Status of proposed letter urging Board of Supervisors to increase funding to Department of Animal Care and Control.

        c. Status of progress of "Crime Stoppers" posters against dog fighting.

      5. SPECIALLY CALANDERED MATTERS (Items are first presented to the Commission for discussion. If and after the Commission discusses the matter, then the public is allowed to comment. Then the Commission may vote.)

      [A.] Proposal to that Animal Care and Control allow applicants to adopt animals from their shelter, with said applicants being between the ages of 16 and 17.(Action Item carried over from February 8th meeting)

      [B]* Proposal to write letter to Board of Supervisor’s recommending the appointment of an Assistant District Attorney strictly for the prosecution of crimes to animals. (Action Item carried over from February 8th meeting)

      [C] Security concerns at San Francisco Zoo. [Discussion Item] (Discussion Item carried over from February 8th meeting)

      {D]Proposed letter to the Board of Supervisors not recommending tree cutting/removal because of its effects on animal life in the city.[Discussion Item, Commissioner Hobson]

      [E] What to be done concerning Internet advertising of sale of dog/puppy meat and "kittens grown in glass bottles".[Discussion item, Commissioner Tchen}
