MINUTES - September 13, 1999, Meeting of the Commission,
Room 104
1. CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 1809
2. ROLL CALL: Veronika Cauley, Charles Coolidge, Bob DeLaCruz, George Gibbs,
Leonard Grube, Wallace Levin, Jim Lineberger, CJ O’Mara, Glenn Raswyck, Edwin
Wilkerson; Patsy Wilson and a quorum was present. Attorney Wayne Snodgrass,
Cheryl Cook, Chris Puckey and Barry Telford were also present.
3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: All
4. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: The agenda was approved unanimously with a hand vote.
5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM THE AUGUST 2ND MEETING: The minutes were approved
unanimously with a hand vote.
6. PUBLIC COMMENT: The Commission was given a presentation by Mr. Chris Puckey.
Senior Director of Strategic Review and Coordination,, and Mr. Barry Telford,
Branch Head of Housing and Aged Care, of the Australian Commonwealth of Veterans’
Affairs. There was a stimulating and educational question and answer session
after the presentation.
7. REPORTS:
A.. Secretary - None.
B. Health and Welfare Report - None.
C. Legislative Committee - C. Levin asked that a vote of support for the San
Francisco Veterans’ Parade be put on the agenda for the next meeting.
D Web-site Report - As noted by our contact with our guests from Australia,
the web-site is active and productive.
