            I.   WAR MEMORIAL VETERANS  BUILDING - Comm. Levin – Swords to Plowshares is opening  a Veterans Employment Office, 3rd floor, Veterans Building.

Expired 12/31/08 American Legion War Memorial Commission and War Memorial Trustees two year financial agreement has still not been renewed. The Trustees have given the third three month extension, which will end on Sept. 30, 2009.

8.   OLD BUSINESS - San Francisco Sea Scout's problems with the National Park Service.

Missing in Action (MIA) Project to increase rate in which MIA's are recovered.

9.   NEW BUSINESS -

10. ANNOUNCEMENTS – Michael Thompson has been re-appointed to another term on the Veterans Affairs Commission, with the term ending on Jan. 31, 2013.

11. HONORS REPORT & ADJOURNMENT in memory of the 5,028+ Americans killed in Iraq (4,305) /Afghanistan (723), the homeless veterans that died in San Francisco, the veterans that died because of suicide during the months of June & July and the following local veterans who recently passed away. Allen Strutz, 91, World War II, Member of the Alameda Veterans Affairs Commission and VFW. The Hayward Veterans Memorial Building was renamed in his honor in 2000. Bok Pon, Commander and leader of the American Legion Cathay Post #384.
