      II.      APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES

Action Item:  the Committee voted to approve the minutes of the January 22, 2007 meeting of the State Legislation Committee.

 

    III.      PROPOSED LEGISLATION

Action items:  the Committee voted to have the City take the following positions on state legislation affecting the City and County of San Francisco.

 

A.      Department of Public Health State Legislative Plan:  this plan summarizes key legislative priorities for the 2007-2008 state legislative session.

B.      AB 110 (Laird):  state funding for needle exchange programs.

Position taken:  Support

 

C.      SB 119 (Cedillo):  to expand Medi-Cal coverage for alcohol and drug treatment for minors.

Position taken:  Support

D.      AB 161 (Bass):  to provide increased state funding for ex-offender re-entry programs.

Recommended Position:  Support

 

E.      Bill # TBA  (Migden):  to authorize an exchange of public trust lands on Treasure Island.

Position taken:  Support

 

F.      Bill # TBA (Leno):  to establish a Treasure Island transportation management district.

Position taken:  Support

 

G.     AB 104 (Solorio):  to require the Attorney General to provide criminal history information to city attorneys pursuing civil gang injunctions.

Position taken:  Support
