Repast: e.g., Funeral Reception. Monitor will set up, take down chairs and tables, clean the floor & set the facility alarm. (Monitor at $12 per hour and 1 Security Guard at $13 per hour to direct traffic.)

$200.00 plus 1 Monitor @$12 per hour, and 1 Security Guard @ $13 per hour.

One Night Dance Permit (may be required for some social events, see note 5)

San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) Service Fee: For alcohol related events; minor events as deemed necessary by the Southeast Community Facility Commission Executive Director.

  1. The use of the Alex L. Pitcher, Jr. Community Room for events scheduled weekdays (Mon. thru Fri.) during regular business hours (8 a.m. - 3 p.m.) is free of service fees. Events scheduled in the Earl P. Mills Community Auditorium are limited to holidays and weekends only and must end by 6pm.

  2. When event is sponsored by and/or for minors (between 12 and 21 years of age) and/or alcohol is being served/sold, then the SFPD fee schedule shall apply at the following rates: (a) from 6pm to 6 am --- $393.83 for first four hours, then $76.32/hr.; (b) from 6 am to 6pm --- $381.71 for the first four hours, then $73.29/hr. Please note rates are subject to change at the discretion of SFPD.

  3. All service fees are payable by company/organization check (no personal checks please), cash (you will receive a receipt) or money order to the Contractual Event Monitor and Security or SFPD (names provided by this office on your confirmation letter) prior to the day of your event.

  4. The SECF Commission/Executive Director has the power to accept, reject or waive all or any portion of the fees for any of the following reasons: a) The user is financially unable to pay; b) The Commissioner feels that it would be in the best interest of the community and Commission.

  5. The SECF Commission Executive Director may require applicant to obtain a One Night Dance Permit for some social events.

Prohibited Activities

  1. Activities which are illegal, pose a threat to life or property, bring discredit or ill repute to the facility users, the SECF Commission, as well as the City & County of San Francisco are prohibited.

  2. As a City-owned facility, the Community Room may not be used for certain kinds of events, especially those of a political or religious nature: two examples of what is not permitted as follows:

    1. A non-partisan political candidate forum for the purpose of educating the public is permitted: a campaign rally to raise money for particular candidate is not permitted.

    2. A church-sponsored fundraising event, open to the public, including Gospel music, is permitted: holding a religious service is not permitted!

  3. The determination of what events may or may not be held at the facility rests solely with the Executive director, acting on behalf of the SECF Commission.

Cancellation

The office of the SECF Commission must be notified 7 days prior to the event; otherwise, a penalty of $50 will be applied and payable to the assigned event monitor.

Any event, e.g. meetings, seminars with attendance more than 25, event monitor will open and close the Community Room, set-up and take down chairs, and tables, clean the floor, setup PA system (if available) and handle alarm system. (Event monitor is required)

$100 plus $12.00 per hour for Event Monitor

B

Any event e.g. meeting, seminar with less than 25 people in attendance. Event Monitor will open the Community Room, set-up and takedown chairs and tables, clean the floor, set-up the PA system (if available) and handle the alarm system. (Event Monitor is required)

$50 plus $12.00 per hour for Event Monitor

C

Event e.g. meeting, seminar scheduled from 8am-3pm, Monday thru Friday except legal holiday is free of service charge. Facility Users will assist the City Custodian to set-up and clean up.

Free

The use of the Community Room and Auditorium for events scheduled weekdays (Mon. thru Fri.) during regular business hours (8 a.m. - 3 p.m.) is free of service fees. The above fees are for events scheduled AFTER regular business.

The service fee is payable by company/organization check (no personal checks please), cash (you will receive a receipt) or money order to the Contractual Event Monitor and/or Security Guard (names provided by this office in your confirmation letter) on the day of the event, unless prior arrangements have been made.
