Southeast Community Facility Commission

Services and Locations
The Southeast Community Facility, located at 1800 Oakdale Avenue, has many programs and services available:
  • An educational/training complex leased by San Francisco Community College District, Southeast Campus and sublet by:
    • Renaissance Parents of Success Program, Rm. 510
    • Community Scholars of Success, Rm. 420
    • New Directions, Rm. 405
    • Office of Samoan Affairs, Rm. 420
    • Department of Human Services-One Stop Career Center, Lower Back Level

  • Office space for lease to non-profit agencies [1] are currently being housed in Suite B, Rm. 8 by two tenants:
    • Bayview Hunters Point Project Area Committee (PAC)
    • Bayview Hunters Point Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC)

  • Public meeting and commons area available to individuals or groups on a first-come, first-serve basis [2] (note that Commission meetings are held in community room area and take preference)

  • The SECFC Executive Director and staff offices are located in Suite B, Rm. 3 (all SECF Commission correspondence should be forwarded to this address)

  • Conference room provided for SECF Commission, staff and tenant use, Suite B, Rm. 5


Located on the side of building, at 1300 Phelps Street, is the children’s daycare area occupied by:

  • San Francisco State University Head Start Center

Adjacent from the SECF, at 1150 Phelps Street, is a greenhouse complex occupied by:

  • Decorative Plant Service Company
  • San Francisco Foliage
  • Sunborne Nursery

Additionally, the SECF Commission is responsible for the Earl P. Mills Center, located at 100 Whitney Young Circle--currently housing:

  • A daycare program leased by Whitney Young Child Development Center
  • An educational/job training area leased by Joshua Marie Cameron Academy
  • An infant care center (ages 0-3 years) leased by Early Childhood Intervention
  • Performing arts group represented by Bayview Repertory Theater
  • Social hall/meeting auditorium and office space (refer to notes #1 & #2)


There are also three satellite childcare centers:

  • CAHEED-Captain Shorey Infant Daycare Program located at 1030 Oakdale Avenue
  • Martin Luther King Childcare Center, 200 Cashmere Street
  • Sojourner Truth Childcare Center, 1 Cashmere Street
