DHR's Compensation Unit is responsible for ensuring that the City's compensation practices are consistently administered pursuant to the terms and conditions of the City's collective bargaining agreements. Additionally, staff calculates and implements rates of pay for all City job classifications, as recorded in the City's Compensation Manual. Further, staff conducts comparability studies of public and private agencies in support of collective bargaining. Staff also authorizes personnel pay transactions, such as tuition reimbursement, supervisory differentials, the Municipal Executive Associations MCCP, and appointments above the entrance rate.
