7 a Side Soccer League 2009

Registration Period will run from May 1-May 29, 2009

7 A SIDE IS A GAME THAT IS PLAYED ON HALF OF A REGULATION SOCCER FIELD.  THE GOALS ARE SMALLER, PLACED ON THE SIDELINES AND THERE ARE NO OFFSIDES. JOIN OUR LEAGUE THIS SUMMER!!!

AGE DIVISIONS:

10 and Under, 12 and Under, 14 and Under, 16 and Under, 18 and Under boys
10 and Under, 12 and Under, 14 and Under, 16 and Under, 18 and Under girls
Adult Men Premier and Recreational Divisions (anyone 18 yrs of age and above)
Adult Women Premier and Recreational Divisions (anyone 18 yrs of age and above)
All youth division players must not have reached their next level of age competition by August 1, 2009

The youth divisions are limited to a total of forty (40) teams. The women's adult division is limited to ten (10) teams and the men's adult division is limited to ten (10) teams. Extra teams will be put on a waiting list in case teams drop out. First come first serve. ALL GAMES WILL BE PLAYED AS SCHEDULED AND NO TEAM WILL BE SCHEDULED IF FEE IS NOT PAID IN FULL AND ON TIME.

ENTRY FEE:
Youth division: $250.00 per team
Adult division: $500.00 per team

(Make cashiers check or money order payable to SF Rec and Park)

(NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED AND NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER SCHEDULES HAVE BEEN MADE)

ELIGIBILITY
All playgrounds and agencies are eligible to enter in this league. Participants may play only for one division and one team.

ENTRIES
Each team is limited to a maximum of fifteen (15) players on their roster with an absolute minimum of ten (10) players. Additions and deletions to the roster must be made in writing in the league office at Crocker Amazon Park (ADD/DROP forms (PDF) will be provided. Additions must be on file with league's office before a player is eligible to participate. No changes will be allowed after each team's third (3rd) scheduled league game. Completed rosters must include name, address, birth date, phone number and signature. Team roster forms and league rules can downloaded from this website or picked up at:

any other documentation must be turned in to Luis Azucena by the due date: Fri May 29, 2009 at Crocker Amazon Park Moscow and Italy St SF 94112  (Tue 2pm-9pm, Wed 2-9pm, Thu 2pm-9pm, Fri from 2-9pm or Sat 10am - 4pm).

PLAY
The season will start Mon June 15, 2009 for youth divisions and Tue June 16, 2009 for adult divisions and will run until the third week of August. Youth divisions will play Mondays or Wednesdays between the hours of 4pm and 9pm. Adult divisions will play Tuesdays or Thursdays, between the hours of 6:30pm and 9:30pm.

PLAYER PASSES
Youth Divisions
: SF Rec. and Park Futsal 2009 player passes will be accepted in this 7 a side league. CYSA player passes may also be used .

New youth players: We will require proof of age (copy of birth certificate, passport, medical card, or school record) and one photo for each player. Coaches will receive passes and will be required to show them to the referee before each game. Coaches must also show his/her pass to referee before each game.

Adult Divisions: Players will be asked to show Cal I.D. or drivers license before each game as proof of registration with the league. You may also use your Futsal passes if you participated in our league this year.

AWARDS
Suitable awards will be given to the top two teams in each division.

PROTESTS
Rule interpretation protests must be done at the time of the infraction. Eligibility protests must be done in writing, turned in within 48 hrs to league director and accompanied by a check of $100.00 (payable to SF Rec and Park). If your protest is upheld, the $100.00 fee will be returned. All other rules will be listed in the game rules.

PROCEDURES FOR INDIVIDUALS WANTING TO JOIN A TEAM

If you want to join a team in our league, you need to give us your full name, date of birth, age, contact phone number and or email address (parent's name too if you are a minor). We will then forward this info to all coaches coming into our league so interested teams can contact you. Email all this info to

Release of liability

As a participant in the activities of the City and County of San Francisco Recreation & Park Department, I hereby waive and release any claims I may have, now or in the future, against the City and its officers, employees, contractors, servants and agents (hereafter referred to as The City) arising from injuries to me, or damage to my property, sustained while I am: (1) at The City's facilities, (2) participating in the City's activities, or (3) being transported to or from the City's facilities or activities, regardless of whether such injuries or property damage is caused in whole or in part by the City's active or passive negligence.

In the event of an injury to my child, I hereby give the City permission to arrange transportation for my child to a medical facility, and/or provide my child with emergency treatment or first aid. I understand that the City does not assume any responsibility to take any of these actions.

This waiver and release shall be valid for the duration of the sessions in which my child is enrolled. I have carefully read this waiver and release and agree to the terms stated. By registering with SF Rec and Park and by signing roster form all participants agree to terms stated.
