ASL Programs
ASL Program Mission: “It is our mission to provide a wide variety of quality recreation, outdoor adventure, social and cultural activities for people who are part of the Deaf, hard of hearing, and/or American Sign Language communities in the San Francisco Bay Area. We promote learning and development through recreation, focusing on bilingualism, teamwork, self-expression, education, and building cognitive, social, physical, and living skills. Project Insight strives to provide the Deaf, hard of hearing, and ASL communities access to quality recreation programs while celebrating the rich language and culture of American Sign Language.” ASL Programs Project Insight's ASL programs serve elementary school children ages 6-11, middle school youth ages 11-13, and teens 13-19. All programs are recreation-based, focusing on building physical, social, and living skills. Programs are conducted in American Sign Language, but we accept students of all language abilities into the programs. When space is available, we encourage hearing siblings to join the programs as well. Please contact us for more information. Brochure Click here to download the ASL Program brochure!
