NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED TESTING LABORATORIES

Testing Laboratories recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL) Program, a part of OSHA’s Directorate of Science, Technology, and Medicine, are acceptable to the San Francisco Department of Building Inspection for listing and labeling of electrical devices, equipment and products within each NRTL’s scope of recognition. All such electrical devices, equipment and products may be approved if judged suitable for use when installed in conformity with the San Francisco Electrical Code (SFEC):

The following companies are recognized by the San Francisco Department of Building Inspection to perform ground fault testing required by SFEC Section 250-95. Companies that perform other tests required by the Department of Building Inspection, including field evaluations, and testing of unlisted and custom-made electrical devices, equipment and products, shall be pre-approved on a case-by-case basis.
