District 8 Town Hall Meeting
On Saturday, February 28, 2004, Mayor Gavin Newsom hosted his first Town Hall meeting at James Lick Middle School in District 8. Joined by Supervisor Bevan Dufty and department heads of City agencies, Mayor Newsom initiated a forum in which citizens could express their concerns and provide input on the issues they are passionate about. This is the first of many Town Hall meetings scheduled to occur every other month in neighborhoods throughout the city.
