Notice of Availability of Request for Proposals

The Mayor's Office of Housing (MOH) announce the availability of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for non-housing activities that create jobs and are responsive to the economic downturn. Funds for these activities will be Federal Community Block Grant (CDBG) dollars and will be aligned with the general purposes of stimulus dollars issued through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The RFP will be available electronically on MOH's website at www.sfgov.org/moh beginning Monday, July 6, 2009. Proposals, including required supporting documentation, must be received in paper format by MOH by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, July 22, 2009. Substantial Amendment to San Francisco's 2008-2009 Action Plan for Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) Funding

San Francisco is eligible to receive $5,723,770 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which is authorized by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. As required by HUD, the Mayor's Office of Housing (MOH) submitted a Substantial Amendment to San Francisco's 2008-2009 Action Plan for HUD's approval on May 18, 2009. 2009-2010 Action Plan

The 2009-2010 Action Plan presents the City and County of San Francisco's strategies and priorities to address the housing and community development needs of low-income San Franciscans and addresses the goals established in its 2005-2009 Consolidated Plan. The Action Plan also identities specific activitites that have been recommended for funding for the 2009-2010 program year with four federal funding sources. The Action Plan is submitted to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) annually and constitutes an application for funds under the following four federal programs: Community Dvelopment Block Grant, Emergency Shelter Grant, HOME Investment Partnership; and Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS.
