Department of Human Resources - Project eMerge
Project eMerge Change Management held four sessions in the last two weeks of July to show CCSF HR and Payroll staff the new look and feel of the PeopleSoft 9.0 HCM application. While we are not able to show actual functionality at this stage of development, there was a very positive response to this overview. In addition to the four public sessions, attended by over 110 people from across the City, we held departmental sessions with employees from the Dept. of Human Resources and the Airport HR/Payroll team.
Nearly all the attendees at the sessions said that the demonstration met the objective of showing some fundamental concepts used in PeopleSoft, such as page controls and the ‘look and feel’ of the application. Here is some of the feedback we heard:

“I like that the demo was short, specific”

“Good basic intro to interface & navigation”

“Good to see the actual interface”

“I see how user friendly it is!”
In addition to this very positive response, we also received constructive feedback on how we can improve these sessions, such as:

Provide handouts

Share examples that relate to the job such as HR, Payroll

Offer hands on experience
This feedback will be taking into consideration when we develop our next series of demonstration sessions. Watch for the next demonstrations in fall 2009!
