Department of Human Resources - Project eMerge

Project eMerge
Innovation & Integration

What is Project eMerge?

Project eMerge was created to implement a new Human Resources Management System (HRMS) for the City & County of San Francisco.  We are a team of City employees who will partner with experienced software implementation consultants to install, set up, and deploy the premier enterprise human resources software system.  Our critical success factors involve you.

Joining together human resources and payroll

The City andCounty of San Francisco, through Project eMerge, is integrating the City’s human resources and payroll functions to provide increased capabilities and improved business reporting city-wide.

The new software system will support the best practices in employee-directed business processes to realize greater effectiveness in services to our workforce – present, past and future.

Enhancing your world at work

The system will provide City employees and managers immediate access to up-to-date employee data, accessible from their computers, reducing or eliminating the City’s paper-based manual processes.

Empowering employees with self service

Web-based self-service will bring many employment activities to the employee, including online annual health benefits enrollment, online updates to personal information and online leave requests and approvals.
