ASSESSOR'S WHISTLEBLOWER REWARD PROGRAM

San Francisco Assessor-Recorder Phil Ting has announced a program with an incentive to encourage citizens to report information regarding changes of ownership of San Francisco properties that have not been reported to his office. Read more about the program by clicking here .

The Controller's Office Whistleblower Program  has agreed to receive these reports through our complaint process. If you have information regarding an unreported change of ownership on a San Francisco property, you can report it by: 1)calling the 311 Customer Service Center at 3-1-1/TTY: 415-701-2323.  If outside the 415 area code, call 415-701-2311/TTY: 415-701-2323. 2) using our online complaint form, or 3) by sending an email to whistleblower@sfgov.org.

Please include the following information when filing your report:

  • Your name and how you may be contacted
  • Address of the building in question
  • Individual or parties involved
  • Year you suspect the transaction occurred

NOTE:  Unlike Whistleblower complaints to our program, the Controller's Office will not be investigating or tracking the results of these complaints. You will be contacted by the Assessor's Office.
