San Francsico Asthma Task Force

In Childcare Settings

Current Projects

The Asthma Task Force has been awarded a grant by the San Francisco Foundation to research methods that will reduce the overuse of bleach as well as provide safer alternative disinfectants for use in childcare settings.  Bleach is known to exacerbate asthma, and exposure to bleach has been associated with new asthma cases by the State's Work-Related Asthma Program.  See materials below for more information about our project.
