In June 2003, the San Francisco Asthma Task Force reported its "Strategic Plan on Asthma for the City and County of San Francisco" (pdf) to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, as well as the Task Force's prioritized goals for plan implementation.

Five years later in May 2008, the Task Force issued the "Report to the Community on Asthma"(pdf), with a focus on asthma outcome health disparities by neighborhood and environmental risk factors for asthma in San Francisco.  For an overview of report findings:  (English, Word)  (Chinese, Word)  (Spanish, Word).

Subsequently, in May 2009, the Task Force awarded World Asthma Day recognition to three activist collaboratives working to reduce asthma risks posed by traffic emissions, housing conditions, and home cleaning and pest control products.  For further details about these important community-based advocacy projects, see our press release:

The 2009 awardees included:
