Animal Care and Control
We do our best to update these pages regularly, but we can't guarantee that every animal shown here will be available when you visit our shelter. Due to the overpopulation problem with small animals, Animal Care and Control spays and neuters all rabbits and rats, and neuters all guinea pigs, before they go to their new homes. Do you love small and exotic animals? Volunteer at Animal Care & Control! We need help socializing and exercising our small furry, feathered and scaly guests. If you're over 18 and ready for a volunteer commitment, please call (415) 554-9414 and reserve a space in an upcoming New Volunteer Orientation. Do you have room in your home, life and heart to foster a needy rabbit? Save A Bunny Rescue takes numerous rabbits in danger from ACC. They are always in need of temporary homes for rabbits - please help if you can. |

One little guy is clearly the runt- he is much smaller than the others, and is developing at a slower rate, but he is just as energetic as his siblings. Hamsters can live for up to 3 years if properly cared for. |

ADOPTED! Name: Tyler Description: Tyler is a tricolored lop eared Angora rabbit. Though pretty and energetic, Tyler is a breed of rabbit that requires much more care than other rabbits. Angora fur needs daily brushing because it mats so easily. Owners of angora rabbits suggest that you keep the fur short-½ inch to 1 inch to prevent mats from forming. This also reduces the risk of wool block, the bunny is more comfortable with short fur and he is better able to reach his cecal droppings.
