1.0               Call to Order
Commission President Bobbrie Brown called the Thursday, December 8, 2005 meeting to order at 6:04 p.m. in the Alex L. Pitcher Community Room at 1800 Oakdale Avenue.

Commissioner Brown read the Sunshine Ordinance aloud.
 

             1.2            Roll Call

Commissioners Present: Brown; Fuentes; Parker; Kennedy, Sampson

Excused Commissioners: Jones and Person
Staff Present: Toye Moses, Executive Director; Annette Price, SECF Comm.-Sect

 

             1.3                    Consent Calendar

(a)           RESOLUTION (SECFC-2005-45) Be it resolved that the minutes of the Southeast Community Facility Commission meetings of Thursday, November 30, 2005 be approved as submitted.

2.0               Public Comment
There was no public comment at this time.
 

3.0               Communications:
There were no communications at this time.

4.0               Presentations:
There were no presenters calendared.

5.0               Director’s Report:
Dir. Moses reported: 1) Budgets for FY 06/07 Clean Water & General Fund have been submitted. Commissioners will be kept informed of process. 2) The vandalism of parked cars in front of the Southeast facility has been occurring on a consistent basis. Captain Pardini of the Bayview station has agreed to increase patrol in the area. 3) Dir. Moses also informed Commissioners that staff met with Dean Veronica Hunnicutt per Facility Committee recommendation re: Community Scholars of Success (CSOS) high school program. Once staff is able to coordinate with other school faculty, another meeting will be scheduled to address continuing concerns.

Dir. Moses mentioned that he spoke with Commissioner Jones yesterday who is recuperating from an operation and will return to the Commission sometime in January. Dir. Moses concluded by informing he would be leaving for his annual health conference training on Friday and will return on December 16th.

MOTION: Moved by Fuentes, seconded by Parker to accept the Director’s Report. Motion passed unanimously to accept report as presented (5-0).

6.0               Introduction of New Business By Commissioners:
There was no introduction of new business by Commissioners.

7.0               Public Comment:
There was no public comment at this time.

8.0               Announcements:
Commissioner Kennedy distributed flyers and announced that Lennar/BVHP will host a Hunters Point Shipyard Holiday Celebration on Saturday, December 17 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Southeast Community Facility, 1800 Oakdale Ave., in the Alex Pitcher Community Room. There will be food, fun, kids’ activities, music, toys and admission is free.

9.0               Adjournment
Comm. Brown adjourned the SECF Commission meeting at 6:15 p.m.
