FACILITY COMMITTEE MEETING
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2001

I.          Call to Order:

          Acting Committee Chair, Commissioner Heidi Hardin called the Wednesday, September 26, 2001 Facility Committee meeting to order at 12:20 p.m.


II.          Roll Call:

                                         Basconcillo, SECF-Sec;


III.          Revision of Rules & Regulations for use of both the Alex L. Pitcher, Jr. Community Room and the E. P. Mills Auditorium: After review of the application and forms in current use and discussion regarding the current scheduling process, Commissioner Looper moved the following: a) continue the current policy of allowing the serving and/or selling alcohol during social events (reviewable after ?); b) allow a third option for security (fee schedule established between McCoy’s and SFPD); c) accept revisions to current application, rules & regulations, and other relevant documents. Motions were seconded and are recommended to the full Commission.

IV.          Update of tenant leases for General Fund tenants: EPMills, Sojourner Truth Child Care, Martin Luther King Child Care, and CAHEED @ Capt. Shorey: Mr. Charlie Dunn, Real Estate Dept. informed staff that he would not be available to discuss the General Fund leases (EPMills, Sojourner Truth, Martin Luther King, and CAHEED) until after Oct. 5, 2001. The Facility Committee agreed to agenda the General Funds leases until a later date.


The Facility Committee also requests the Chair to direct staff to draft a memo to (Gary Dowd at) Public Utilities Commission/Commercial Land Management (PUC/CLM) requesting an update on the Clean Water leases: SFSU Headstart ( why no signed lease, but month-to-month since Nov. ’99); Decorative Plant (March 2002); CCSF/Southeast Campus (June 2004); and Redevelopment Agency (South Bayshore Development Corp./Bayview-Hunter’s Point-PAC, July 2005).


V.          Public Comment: No public comment was offered at this meeting.


VII.          Adjournment

Commissioner Looper moved and Commissioner Hardin seconded moved to adjourn the Committee meeting at 1:15 p.m.
