SOUTHEAST COMMUNITY FACILITY COMMISSION

Requests for public comment may also be heard after Commission discussion of an agenda item by completing an information card and submitting it to The Commission Secretary.  Requests are given ‘first come first serve’ priority and speakers may be limited to three minutes.

                   Announcement: The Sunshine Ordinance prohibits the use of electronic sound-producing devices at/during public meetings.  Please be advised that the meeting chair may remove any person (s) responsible for the ringing or use of cell phones, pagers and similar sound-producing electronic devices from the meeting room

                   Public Comment: Members of the public may address the Commission on matters under the jurisdiction of the Commission that are not on today’s agenda.

                   Overview of Health & Housing Ad-Hoc Committee by Joseph Singh, Management Assistant.

                   Activity Update (Discussion):

(a) Dr. Hunnicutt:  Update on mini-grant fund for gardening projects and possible event speaker, Diamond Dave.

(b)Dr Ghaly:  Update on involvement of Quesada Gardens Initiative and B-Magic involvement with health event. 

(c)Kathy Summers:  Update on contact with schools concerning Essay and Art project in connection with health event.  Update on contact with S.F. Giants for keynote speaker.

                      Action Plans

(a) Creation of health event sub-committees:

-Space and Set-up Committee (headed by Dr. Parker)

-Program and Logistics Committee (headed by Lisa Ochs)

-Speaker Organizing Committee (headed by Dr. Ghaly)

-Communications Committee (headed by Principal Rice-Mitchell and Ms.

                              Alderetti)

-Follow-up Committee (headed by Dr. Parker and Dr. Churchwell). 

      -Commissioner Jones to meet with Toye Moses and/or Mayor Newsom to                        

      discuss funding sources for health event. 

     -Drew Elementary to send “Save the Date” flyers out.
